In 2005, Thai fishermen caught a giant catfish for Grizzly bears in the Mekong River. The size of this fish with a weight range from 2.7 meters to reach 646 pounds. Indeed catching giant catfish in the Mekong River is not a strange thing. Local fishermen have repeatedly obtain giant catfish in the stream. But it seems no one has matched the size of catfish caught by Thai fishermen.
